Teil Paintings & Patterns

Teil Duncan Henley is a contemporary artist based in Columbus, Georgia. Establishing her fine art studio in Charleston, South Carolina after receiving her Fine Art degree from Auburn, Teil moved her studio back to her hometown of Columbus in 2019 with her husband and their three children. Inspired by light, movement, color and pattern, Teil's work infuses abstract elements, pixelated compositions and joyful color combinations no matter the subject. In March 2024, Teil expanded her scope with the launch of Teil Textiles & Wallpaper. A curated collection of fabric by the yard, wallpaper and grasscloth wall coverings, this new creative avenue is a testament to the artist's interest in and mastery within the world of patterns and color. Laura Deems

Laura Deems is a contemporary abstract artist. The foundation of her artistic practice is derived from her formal training dying fabrics, weaving pattern and screen-printing. The creation of pattern, gesture and movement are what drive the artist's works on paper, works on canvas and with textiles. In her effort to 'free the motif from the grid,' each work is uniquely created as a loose interpretation of a pattern.

Highland Galerie

Highland Galerie is a purpose driven gallery located in the heart of Columbus, GA. Led by two sisters, Elizabeth Cliatt and Landy Cartledge, the gallery is a destination where art can be sourced, community can be celebrated and where giving back remains central. Established as a community gallery to honor the legacy of Mary Passalaigue, an influential figure in the Columbus art community, the gallery’s primary mission – initially and today – is to foster artistic appreciation and contribute to the cultural fabric of the ever-growing city. Elizabeth & Landy have refined the original mission of Highland Galerie since taking ownership of the gallery. Under their new direction, greater emphasis is being placed on the gallery’s digital presence and footprint, taking a more curatorial lens to artwork with quarterly exhibitions and tailoring community outreach endeavors focused on arts education.
